Sweet and Spicy Pickles

  1. We harvested 3 lbs. of pickling cucumbers from the Victory Garden.  
  2. Sliced them with the mandolin using the crinkle blade.
  3. Soaked them with the onions for a while.
  4. Added all the ingredients and pickling cucumbers to the pot and heated.
  5. Packed the jars full.
  6. Low-temperature pasteurized for 15 minutes and cooled.
  7. This produced 5 pint jars of pickles.
  8. We repeated the process to make 10 jars.
